Our logo, Lacerta viridis or the European green lizard is under protection in Hungary. We have chosen him as the symbol of the competition for many reasons: first of all its mating colours highly resemble the two colours programmers often encounter: green and blue. Not only that, but the fact that there is a joke around here that has to do with the English ‘geek’ expression that is originally the slangish version of ‘person really good with computer programming’: pronounced in Hungarian it sounds like a Hungarian word that means lizard. If it is not enough, our lizard is hungry and the fly that serves as the dot on the “I” is not only an inconvenience in real life but a bug, too, and we assume you know the rest.
